Before paying a photo booth deposit, get in writing: the full total including travel and extras, the deposit amount and when the balance is due, what happens if you cancel or change the date, what happens if the supplier cannot attend, and the price of extra time. A written quote that answers all of these protects you and the supplier.
Why it matters
A 360 booth booking involves a date the supplier holds for you and turns other events away from. Both sides need clear terms. Most disagreements between hosts and suppliers come from things that were agreed by voice note and never written down.
The eight questions
| # | Question | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | What is the full total? | Hours, extras and travel in one figure, not a package price with add-ons later. |
| 2 | How much is the deposit? | So you know what confirms the date. |
| 3 | When is the balance due? | Before the event, on the day, or after? |
| 4 | What if I cancel? | How much of the deposit, if any, comes back, and by when. |
| 5 | What if I change the date? | Whether the deposit moves to the new date. |
| 6 | What if the supplier cannot attend? | A refund, a replacement, or both. |
| 7 | What does extra time cost? | So overtime on the night is not a surprise. |
| 8 | Which currency? | New leones (SLE) or old leones (SLL); see below. |
Our approach
Every booking starts with a written quote covering hours, extras and travel. Your date is confirmed once you accept the quote and pay any deposit it sets out. The deposit, balance and cancellation terms for your booking are stated in that quote, so you see them before paying anything.
Old leones and new leones
Sierra Leone removed three zeros from its currency in 2022, so 1,000 old leones (SLL) equal 1 new leone (SLE), according to the Bank of Sierra Leone. If a quote shows a figure in the millions, check which currency it means. Our prices are in new leones.
Red flags
- A price given only by voice note.
- “Pay now and we’ll sort the details later.”
- No answer to what happens in a power cut. See what happens to a photo booth in a power cut.
- Travel or setup charges that appear only after the deposit is paid.
Bottom line
Get the full total, deposit, balance date, cancellation and date-change terms and overtime price in writing before you pay any supplier. For a written quote for your date, call or WhatsApp +232 75 009582.

Is a deposit normal?
Yes. Suppliers turn away other bookings for your date, so a deposit is a common way to confirm it. The amount and terms should be in writing.
Can I move my booking to a new date?
Usually, if the booth is free on the new date. Ask for the date-change terms in your quote.
Should I pay the full amount upfront?
Follow the terms in your written quote. Never pay anything without a quote that sets out what the payment is for.
